Construction Work to Impact Several Roads Within the Walt Disney World Resort

The Walt Disney World Resort continues to grow at a very fast pace, and even larger number of Guests are expected to visit the area in the coming years. For this reason, many of the roads around property are being expanded, resulting in some temporary closures (including the ones outlined below) that may impact your visit in the coming weeks. As a reminder, these impacts are subject to change due to weather conditions or operational needs.


1) Southbound World Drive closed nightly through July 13
From Magic Kingdom park close through 6 a.m., Southbound World Drive will be closed nightly through July 13. A detour will be in place using Seven Seas Drive to access southbound World Drive.

2) Westbound Osceola Parkway closed nightly July 10–11
Beginning the nights of July 10–11, westbound Osceola Parkway will be closed from 10 p.m.–5 a.m. Eastbound Osceola Parkway will be open. During this closure, the ramp from I-4 onto westbound Osceola Parkway will be closed. Drivers will detour from I-4 onto International Drive and U.S. Highway 192 to reach their destination.


3) Eastbound Osceola Parkway closed overnight July 11
Beginning the night of Wednesday, July 11 through the morning of Thursday, July 12, eastbound Osceola Parkway (east of the Victory Way intersection) will be closed from 11 p.m.–6 a.m. Westbound Osceola Parkway will be open. During this closure, drivers should take the exit ramps onto World Drive to reach their destination. Drivers traveling to ESPN Wide World of Sports or northbound Victory Way will be detoured left or right onto Victory Way.


4) Inbound Magic Kingdom auto plaza lanes closed July 9–13
Beginning at Magic Kingdom park closure through the following morning, traffic will detour onto Vista Blvd.
