Disney Water Parks Host World’s Largest Swimming Lesson

On Thursday, June 22, Typhoon Lagoon and Blizzard Beach will join an estimated 500 water parks, pools, and other aquatic facilities around the world in hosting the annual "World’s Largest Swimming Lesson." Since its inception, more than 195,000 kids and adults have participated, and more than 20 countries on five continents are expected to participate this year. Drowning is the second leading cause of unintentional, injury-related death for kids ages 1-14. Swimming lessons are vital for drowning prevention.
