Magic Kingdom Update: Security Setup Changes (PART 1)

A few weeks ago, we reported that the security setup at the Magic Kingdom Park had received major changes, as some bag check locations (including the metal detectors) have been moved closer to the bus stops, while others have been relocated to the Transportation & Ticket Center and the monorail stations at the Disney resorts located around the Seven Seas Lagoon. This afternoon we will take a closer look at some of these changes; afterwards, we will head inside Magic Kingdom to see what's new.

The tram stops have been moved away from the awnings at the Transportation & Ticket Center:

The area under the awnings is now used as a bag check location:



Work continues to be done around Magic Kingdom's monorail station:



The plaza in front of the park looks great without lines:



We expect to see these structures disappear in the coming months:




The "Ferryboat" sign was recently changed to "Disney Buses":



The new bag check area for Guests taking the buses has been moved closer to the bus shelters:
