The day we have all been waiting for is finally here! Just a few minutes ago, during the earnings call for The Walt Disney Company, Bob Iger confirmed that Pandora: The World of AVATAR will open to Guests on Saturday, May 27, 2017 at Disney's Animal Kingdom Theme Park. This breathtaking themed area promises to transport Guests to the planet of Pandora, where they will be able to experience two new attractions, an immersive environment, new food & beverage offerings, and much more.
"Waiting for" is not the word I would use. Let's just get it over and hope Disney moves onto better things.
With often lengthy wait times I think most of the major parks are "whole day" visits unless you time your run to avoid smaller crowds. Even then....why rush. Slow down. Soak up the atmosphere and enjoy.
I quite liked the spectacle of the Avatar movie and , even if the franchise doesn't progress, it makes for a n excellent park experience if done right. It has the potential to exceed the parameters of the movie itself and be a wonderful adventure in it's own right.
I've been impressed with what I've seen so far and I'm confident that Disney hasn't invested in a white elephant. People are right to be excited about a project like this and the prophets of doom might be surprised by it too. Hope so.
When will you be doing another AK update. Curious how things are coming along?
