Updated Aerial Imagery of Universal Orlando (Sept. 2016)

Earlier this month, the great NearMap site was updated to show a current aerial view of some of the major cities around the United States, including Orlando.
Thanks to this update, we are able to get an up-close look at some of the areas that are currently under construction around Central Florida's theme parks. As you will see, the progress that has been done in some locations is nothing short of amazing (this update only includes the Universal Orlando Resort). Enjoy!

Plenty of new structures have been built in the future Volcano Bay water park since the last update:

And that is all for now. Before concluding, we would like to thank again Nearmap for providing these excellent aerial images of Orlando's theme parks. Click here to check out the previous aerial update.

    1. Supposedly initially it was codenamed aventura. It was seen that was the street it was on but also that it could hint to a Spanish type theme as well. It is also going to be a very small resort also. That is all that is known of the project at the moment!

  3. I'm sure that a sixth hotel is good business but , for the park visitors , maybe it's not such a good
    prospect.
I understand that a profitable Universal will be able to continue to provide a theme park for us to visit. From that perspective it's a good move. After all we don't want to see the Parks decline into somewhere nobody wants to go.
However from another point of view I'm sure that many park visitors will look at how crowded it can get and wonder whether it would be better to expand the Parks rather than the Resorts.
I don't have the figures to show what percentage of Park guests are represented by those staying at the Resorts but I do know that there will be a point where you have more visitors than the Parks can handle.
Is it possible that, if the Resorts continue to expand faster than the Parks, there might only be room for onsite guests to get into the Parks ?
    Just saying.......
