Since the Universal Orlando Resort introduced bag check procedures, Guests might have noticed how some of the checkpoints looked temporary, especially those located at the end of the walkways connecting Universal's theme parks and CityWalk to the five on-site hotels. Since metal detectors were recently added, it makes sense to refurbish these areas to better integrate the new system. Meanwhile, hotel Guests can still access the CityWalk are from a secondary entrance.
