Reign of Kong News: Work Proceeds Around the Attraction

Islands of Adventure's newest themed area is already looking very, very good.
While not much progress was visible during the past few weeks, multiple new details were recently unveiled in the Reign of Kong area, including a new shelter (probably for another snack location), another coast of paint for the arch that will soon welcome Guests to the new ride, more rockwork, and more. In addition to that, we spotted Universal Creative walking around the area yesterday.

Let's start to explore the area by first taking a look at the construction zone from Toon lagoon:

The new doors installed in front of the majestic entrance to the building are still covered:

As previously mentioned, a new shelter has been built near the former location of the Jurassic Park arch:

A look at the rest of the area (notice the nets and rockwork visible behind the walls):

The King Kong arch is getting its last coat of paint. It will blend beautifully with the rest of the area:

Here you are a few behind-the-wall photos for your enjoyment:

Notice the additional rockwork near the King Kong-shaped arch:

A look at the area from above:

Universal Creative was touring the area yesterday afternoon:

A separate update will cover the refurbishment of The Incredible Hulk Coaster:
