Epcot: Sunshine Seasons Ending Breakfast Service in 2016

After getting in touch with several reliable sources, Orlando Theme Park News was able to confirm that Sunshine Seasons (a quick-service restaurant located on the bottom floor of The Land pavilion at Epcot) will cease offering breakfast starting from early January 2016. The restaurant's new hours will be 11 a.m. to 9 p.m., which will be extended to 11 p.m. on Extra Magic Hours evenings.
The nearby Garden Grill restaurant will continue to offer a breakfast buffet daily.

Interestingly, this change will be implemented in conjunction with the lengthy closure of Soarin', which will be down until the end of spring 2016. It is unclear whether Sunshine Seasons will begin serving breakfast again when the ride reopens (the closure of such a major attraction could cause the pavilion to have less foot traffic during that period of time, and that may not justify the presence of two major restaurants serving breakfast in the same location).

As always, this should be considered a rumor until officially confirmed by the Walt Disney World Resort.

  1. Every Disney hotel has an extensive food court and or restaurants that serve breakfast.
I've seen, many of us have seen, simple quick and easy pastry 'donut shop' type of availability morph into hotel food court level offerings. It's nuts. People demand Mickey waffles everywhere, etc.

Get out of bed and go get breakfast BEFORE you leave your hotel.

Enormous amount of $ (and food) wasted by Dusney trying provide everything everywhere. I'd rather they put that money into something more productive.

  2. I always enjoyed the breakfast at Seasons, especially the berry croissant bread pudding. I really hope this is only temporary and that they start breakfast service again when Soarin' reopens!
