Islands of Adventure: Raptor Encounter, New Merchandise

Today's Islands of Adventure picture-update will solely cover the Jurassic Park themed area of the park, as it received some really interesting new additions.
First of all, the new Raptor Encounter officially opened just a few weeks ago, giving Guests the fantastic opportunity to meet a "live" velociraptor from a safe distance. Additionally, some of the stores in the area also received some new Jurassic World merchandise, including t-shirts, toys, and more. Let's take a look:

Our adventure begins:

Entering Jurassic Park:

First of all, let's check out some of the new merchandise items now available in the area's stores::

Miscellaneous dinosaur t-shirts for kids:

Changing store:

Still images taken from the first Jurassic Park movies can still be seen around the store located at the exit of Jurassic Park River Adventure. Could they be updated when Jurassic World is released?:

Time to move on to Raptor Encounter:

Velociraptors are mysterious creatures. It looks like they can - in fact - be domesticated, though:

Most Guests thoroughly enjoy this brief-yet-amazing experience. Waits have been very high since the meet-and-greet officially opened, and the experience is not even featured on the map yet:

And that is all for now. Thank you for your support, and see you again real soon!

  3. No, it's right across the path from Triceratops Encounter. The old TE now has a big wooden wall blocking all view.

Raptor Encounter is where the Triceratops Encounter used to be. But it doesn't go far back to the three paddocks that were used for that attraction. It is located right behind the stone fossil "wall" of a Triceratops. The beginning of queue line for TE was used for this meet and greet.
The exit causes a huge traffic jam during busy times. People will think it's the entrance or just stop and admire. I love the addition but the entrance needs to be clearer to the guests.

  5. I stand corrected, sir. Old park maps show TE where Raptor encounter is today. Although for some reason I remember that "wall" being on the other side of the path a long time ago.
