Most of the themed areas of Universal Studios Florida are completely free of any walls or barricades. After multiple years of aggressive expansion, it seems like things have really started to slow down, even though this is just a period of transition that should soon bring even more major projects to this fantastic theme park. As you will see, work continues in the Garden of Allah Villas area, while other sections of the park get refurbished. Let's take a look around:
Twister is still operating. It seems like it will remain open for a few more months:
Transformers is still one of the park's most popular attractions:
The facade of Doc's Candy Store was recently refurbished. Here's how it looks now:
The Blues Brothers stage is still missing:
The latest rumors point to the possibility of having a new attraction themed after the Fast & Furious saga replace Disaster. We would not be surprised to see this happen, especially after seeing how well the new Furious 7 movie is doing at the box office. As always, we will have to wait and see what happens.
