Hollywood Studios Update: Theater Rehabs (PART 2)

Welcome to the second part of our newest Disney's Hollywood Studios photo-report. As usual, we recommend checking out PART 1 before proceeding.
As you have seen, the center stage of the park (the hub) is definitely getting a lot of the attention, while other sections of the park receive minor additions and refurbishments. We will now continue to check out the rest of the park, focusing on Pixar Place, the Backlot, the Streets of America, and Echo Lake.

  1. Besides Rock n Roller coaster and Tower of terror their is no reason to even go to this park. Universal Studios is WAY BETTER!

  2. I totally agree they need to hurry and put more rides or do something to this park.....

  3. This used to be my favorite park....

  4. So did they tear down that sorcerer's hat, just to build another big ugly structure in front of the Great Movie Ride? Is this classic wonderful view only temporary?

  5. the new website design is disgusting and burns your eyes with a horrible white color! The blue original site was much more soothing! The person that changed this should get fired!

  6. They're cleaning up the outside of the Chinese Theater, not building another "hat".

  7. No Wall- e ?. No Disney Hollywood Studios. Sorry.

  8. I love the new website! The white makes it easier to read than the blue. Thank you to whomever!

  9. As a Star Wars fan, I love DHS because of Star Tours alone. Love the Muppets too! True, the park has seen better days, but I think it's still great IMHO.

  10. If everyone is so disappointed with DHS then I wish you would just stay home so it wouldn't be so crowded.

  11. They need at least 2 E-ticket rides not attractions or meet n greets to even compete with Universal.

  12. I love DHS even though I do everything on my to do list by noon(maybe not toy story. no ride is worth 2 hours in line). While i agree the park does need more rides even if they are family rides or even better trill rides.

I just dont understand, what was the point of closing the backstage tour ride if they are not doing anything with that space now. If it were me. i would leave it open to manager the visitors a bit better and help the queues of the other ride. once you are about to begin construction than you close it.

    My sentiments exactly

  14. I am so excited about all the changes come to Disney Hollywood Studios but I do wish they would add more rides and honestly in my opinion I think the Frozen ride that is right now being built at Epcot should be build here instead.

  15. I don't blame anyone for being disappointed, but things will soon improve. All rumors point to one, or even possibly two new "lands" to be built. One is almost definitely going to be Star Wars themed. The other is tougher to predict. It could be an expansion of Pixar-themed (Some say another Cars Land, but I doubt it). It could be Marvel-themed (more likely in my opinion). Or it could just be a gigantic Star Wards land (also possible). We will find out later this year....

  16. Expect a Cars land type area to run from Pixar Place back into the old Back lot tour area. Star Wars in Echo lake heading back towards Star Tours.

  17. I would personally love Cars Land to come to DHS. I've been to the one at DCA, and it was the best part of the park attractions and themeing wise.
To me, it seemed like a better response to WWOHP than Avatar Land. What it all comes down to is that we are getting new and improved offerings in the "near" future. Lets just get that construction started! Especially now since DHS is truly a half day park with its few offerings.

  18. I heard it's going to be Toy Story Playland that replaces the backstage tour. If this is true then it's going to be a huge disappointment. Even if Star Wars Land makes it to DHS it still won't compare to what they've done at Universal. Disney is playing catch up now. It makes no sense to put Radiator Springs Racers since EPCOT has Test Track which is a much better ride.
