Heartlake City Groundbreaking Takes Place at LEGOLAND

Yesterday morning, Girl Scouts dressed in their customary green sashes and vests assisted in the official groundbreaking for Heartlake City at LEGOLAND Florida Resort and LEGOLAND California Resort. “We invited the Girl Scouts to help us with this event because we believe they can relate to the LEGO Friends love of adventures, solving problems and having fun,” said Director of Marketing for LEGOLAND Florida Resort Rex Jackson.

Five Girl Scouts lead the event in a numerical representation of the five LEGO Friends characters. “Our goal is to support girls as they build confidence and develop leadership skills. Teaming up with LEGOLAND Florida Resort was a great opportunity for these young ladies to proudly represent our organization,” said Jimmy Barringer, Director of Marketing for Girl Scouts of West Central Florida.

Heartlake City will include a new ride themed to Mia’s love of horses: Mia’s Riding Adventure, plus a new interactive show called “Friends to the Rescue” as well as Stephanie’s News Room and shops inside Heartlake Mall.

The new land based on the popular LEGO Friends line of toys is set to open this summer.  This colorful and vibrant new land will offer adventures for all ages.
