Rumor: New LEGO Friends Area Coming to LEGOLAND?

The LEGOLAND Florida Resort has been adding new themed areas each year since it officially opened to the public back in 2011, and it looks like this trend will continue in the next few years. Indeed, according to some reports, one particular attraction park (the Fresh From Florida Greenhouse) was recently closed to make way for a new themed section that could be very similar to another area currently being built at LEGOLAND California Resort.

Just a few days ago, a forum member of LEGOLANDphotos.com posted the following update:
The Fresh from Florida greenhouse is closed and has black tarp concealing the interior from view. The park also begun removing the "Learn and Grow" exhibit adjacent to the greenhouse. I heard the greenhouse will be removed after the holidays and a new attraction will be constructed in its place.
If you are not very familiar with the park, we invite you take a look at one of our photo-updates from 2012, which includes plenty of pictures of this very interesting and educational exhibit. Here's also an aerial view of the park showing the former location of the greenhouse, courtesy of Google Maps:

On that same forum board, another member mentioned the possibility of having a new LEGO Friends theme take over that area, which would be similar to what is currently being developed at the LEGOLAND Park in California. Here's a quick description of their version:

"LEGOLAND California is making a significant investment in LEGO Friends Heartlake City, opening summer 2015. The new area is based on one of the LEGO Group’s hottest toy lines “LEGO Friends”, which focuses on the lives and personalities of five girls: Mia, Olivia, Andrea, Stephanie and Emma.

The new area invites guests to sing along with Andrea at her tour bus, stroll through LEGO horse stables, enjoy a building activity at one of the LEGO brick tables and go for a horseback ride on the carousel in Mia’s family ranch.  The adventures are endless for guests as they enjoy living like LEGO Friends for a day in Heartlake City."

As you can see, this new area will bring one new ride, a new show, and yet another water-based play area to the California park. Will LEGOLAND receive the exact same additions, or could we see something different make its way to the Central Florida park? Having two carousels and two water play areas located a few feet from each other would definitely be a very odd choice.

One thing is sure: the former location of the Fresh from Florida Greenhouse would be the best place to have a LEGO Friends area, as the new meet-and-greet that recently opened nearby shares the same theme.
