Polynesian Village Update: Volcano Disappearing (PART 2)

Welcome to PART 2 of our newest Polynesian Village Resort construction update, Orlando Theme Park News Readers! PART 1 can be found here.
As we stated in part 1, it is not a very pleasant experience walking around the hotel at this point in time; that being said, this is a necessary project, which is going to bring countless new additions, expanded services, and even more opportunities to enjoy the offerings of this amazing hotel. Let's continue our tour:

Going back to the Nanea Volcano Pool:

As you can see, the volcano itself is starting to slowly disappear:

The nearby area:

Notice the curved walls seen in the next two photos:

More work:

Walking outside:

A few more photos of the pool area:

Behind the walls:

Let's now take a look at the new Disney Vacation Club villas:

The view from another angle:

Time to leave:

  1. Thanks for the look. I look forward to the day the area is put back together.

Do you think those curved walls the start of a form for a cement foundation of sorts?

  2. I can't believe people would want to stay there whilst all this work is going on. If Disney had cut the price of staying there substantially to compensate, then just maybe it would be worth it, but they really should have closed the hotel while all this work was taking place.

It wouldn't be so bad is Disney used contractors who don't work at a snails pace - how long has both this and the hub been going on for now, with no sign of it ending yet.

  3. There could be only one attraction open because of construction, and the Disney nuts would still go and pay full price.

  4. I typically don't come to Disney because of the accomodations, I come for the parks. The Poly still offers all it always. Sounds like you just have your hand out for "compensation". Choose another hotel!!! Do you not drive on particular roads because they are temporarily fixing it?
