Magic Kingdom Hub Update: More "Concrete" News

The Magic Kingdom hub is sea of dirt in its current state, but it is not hard to use our imagination and foresee how beautiful it will look once this major expansion projects wraps up. Try to imagine the sea of flowers, plants, and shrubs that will adorn the green areas near the new walkways, along with water flowing on the fountains, beautiful new railings, themed castle towers, and more... Join us as we walk around and take a look at the current status of this expansion work:

Let's start by taking a look at the west side of the hub. Here, we noticed that some of the temporary walls have been covered up using a themed wrap that includes the new railings:

More concrete has been poured:

These new walkways are really needed:

Walking around the area:

More concrete should be poured in this area very soon:

This is going to be one of the two gardens that should become FastPass+ viewing locations for the fireworks show during the evening. These areas should also include some nice fountains:

  1. We are visiting Orlando in April 2015 from England and wondered how much of the construction work is going to be completed by then?
Also what about the walls at animal kingdom

  2. Walls will be all in the hub and in AK while you are there. We were there last week, and the hub was no big deal. Sure it wasn't perfect, but the rest of the park is so nice that you hardly noticed the hub. Also it's only the outer ring of the hub, so when you are closer to the center and near to partners statue you won't notice it much.

Having said all of that, by April they should be moved along to other sections of the hub.

ak will be walls until 2016 at least.

  3. Thanks there seems like so much work being done everywhere at the minute, may need to use it as an excuse to go back in a couple of years time :)
