Downtown Disney Update: Fall Begins (PART 3)

Welcome to PART 3 of our newest Downtown Disney photo-report, Orlando Theme Park News Readers. PART 2 can be found by clicking here.
In the previous part of this update, we enjoyed walking around a wall-filled Pleasure Island, the Lily Pad, a former parking area that will soon be replaced by more shops and restaurants, and more. We will now take a look around the Marketplace. As always, we hope you will enjoy the rest of this update:

Here you are some more photos of the new Marketplace causeway:

Notice the new details:

Nearby, Guests can also notice that the Rainforest Cafe volcano (which was completely rebuilt a few months ago) is again behind scaffolding. The new look of the volcano was already fantastic, so we are not sure what is planned this time:

A closer look reveals that the crocodile Audio-Animatronic is also being worked on:

A general look around the rest of the Marketplace:

Walls are up around the Marketplace stage:

The former location of the Margarita bar is being expanded into the lake:

Not many people know that a "Princess Parade" takes place daily at the Downtown Disney area:

Time to leave:

And that is all for now. Before concluding, remember to like us on our official Facebook page and follow us on Twitter for live updates from the parks. 1. I visited Downtown Disney yesterday for the first time in almost four years - what happened to the music/DVD/game store?

  2. Anonymous, I am sure you are referring to the former Virgin Megastore. That is long gone. After it closed, it housed a temporary exhibit about Lady Diana, which was then replaced by Ridemakers (which is now located in the Marketplace). CURRENTLY, the space is occupied by Splitsville, an upscale bowling, dining, and entertainment venue.

  3. Do we know which parts of Disney springs will be open when? I ask this as I am going in October 2015
    Cheers

  4. They are far from giving those details. Since they seem to be working all over the area, it would be hard to envision which sections will be done when.
