Polynesian Resort Update: New Sign Installed (PART 2)

Welcome to PART 2 of our newest Disney's Polynesian Village Resort photo-report, Orlando Theme Park News Readers! PART 1 can be found here.
In part 1 of this update, we took a look at the brand-new sign that was recently installed near the main entrance of the resort, as well as the lobby area and more. We will now continue to check out the rest of the resort, focusing mostly on the outdoor locations (the pool area and the new lagoon-side villas). Enjoy!:

Some palm trees have been completely eradicated from the area surrounding the pool:

Lagoon-side work:

Time to check out the progress being done on the new waterfront villas:

Let's board a boat:

Some of the other villas have not received their outer walls yet:

A panoramic view of the working area:

We'll conclude with some sunset photos taken around the Seven Seas Lagoon:

  1. Those over water villas (what are they called?) sure look pretty cool, but they really block the view of the longhouses behind them.

  2. Sorry. Not "the view of the longhouses", but the view "from" the longhouses.

  3. What a nasty mess they've made of the place. I feel bad for anyone staying there anticipating a deluxe resort feel to go along with their room price. They should have just shut the resort down for the time being.

  4. It doesn't look like you'll be able to see the fireworks from the beach anymore...that's the reason we always stayed there. What a shame!

  5. Thanks for weighing in Grammar King ("from" the longhouses). You are to be commended.

  6. Regarding the price, I think they warn guests about the construction in advance.

  7. Not to pile on here, but I think the second poster was the first poster correcting themselves...

  8. There's still plenty of room on the beach to watch the fireworks from. I went the other night and had no problems.
