Epcot Update: A Colorful Central Plaza (PART 1)

Welcome to our newest photo-report, Orlando Theme Park News Readers!
Today we are going to take a look around Epcot to check out the progress being done in the various areas that are currently under construction. In fact, there are actually quite a few minor projects currently going on (most of which are taking place in Future World) and there are some areas who have been refurbished just a few weeks ago. Let's take a look around together:

Spaceship Earth appears to be a little more popular after the introduction of FastPass+, which is good:

The Fountain of Nations plaza is now sporting a completely new paint scheme:

We are still deciding if we like it or not:

Some work is being done near one of the entrances of Mouse Gear:

Also, there is some major work being done on the Rose Walk area, located next to the old Communicore alley. It is something related to utilities, and it was definitely something that needed to be addressed quickly:

Some of the flowers from the 2014 Flower & Garden Festival are still there. We wish they would stay there for good, as the park looks even better during that special event:

In Future World East, the removal of the Test Track FASTPASS machines is almost done:

This pavilion was struck by lightning a few weeks ago:

This is still closed, sadly:

We can't believe this has not been updated yet:

Goofy playing soccer:

The Odyssey pavilion is the place to go if you want to catch any of the games during the World Cup:

We are glad to see this pavilion used for an event open to all Guests:

  1. What? It was stuck by lightning? Well, it appears as if everything is fine though, and it probably would have been pretty cool to see happening with it's shape!!

  2. I think I like the coloring. Now if only there was something inside those colorful buildings! :D

  3. The fountain area is becoming quite colorful, 'jazzy' might be a word.

As Anon #2 says though: the insides need some work.
