Islands of Adventure Update: 'Kongstruction' Begins (PART 3)

Welcome to PART 3 of our newest Islands of Adventure photo-report, Orlando Theme Park News Readers! PART 2 of this update can be found by clicking here.

In part 2, we checked out the train station and Jurassic Park (including the future King Kong area). Let's continue to take a look around the area. Afterwards, we will move on to the last few themed areas of the park of the park:

More "behind-the-wall" photos taken from GUEST AREAS ONLY:

This area looks very different now, doesn't it?:

It's amazing to think that this view has been the same since 1999... until today!:

Jurassic Park no longer feels like a forest. They will restore the area soon, though:

More behind-the-wall shots:

Toon Lagoon:

Popeye's statue is back:

The Toon Lagoon Theater still sits there, begging to be used for something:

Marvel Super Hero Island:

"Heeeeello, there":

A new Universal Studios update will be posted soon...

...as well as a CityWalk update:

As long as they don't get rid of Mythos!

  5. Do you know if the trees from Jurassic Park were saved, so they could be transplanted or simply cut down? Jurassic Park was always my favorite because it really felt like you were in a rainforest, it seems like that is ruined now :(

  6. @Dan: lost continent still has a great attraction in Poseidon's fury even though an update would be nice and a solid restaurant in mythos, plus sinbad is the park's only real show which makes it quite valuable. i think just a general update to the thematics and a possible expansion into the backstage area behind would be the way to go.

@ Tim I doubt it. they will just bring new young ones in, very tough to save old trees like that.
