Universal Studios: Transformers Walls Down (PART 1)

Don't get too excited yet! Even though this update's title says that walls are down all around the new Transformers Ride, we want to make sure you understand that the ride itself is not open yet. According to many rumors, though, it shouldn't be too long before we see soft-openings (give them a month or two...).

That being said, it is now time to take a look around Universal Studios Florida to check the status of all the various projects that are currently taking shape in the park. We certainly hope you will enjoy this photo-report:

Let me start by saying that both parks were very busy yesterday afternoon:

Despicable Me Minion Mayhem had a long line:

This was the wait around 4:30 p.m.:

This was the wait at around 6:00 p.m.:

There was even an extended queue for the ride's extended queue!:

Shrek 4-D was busy as well:

The new sponsor of the ride is finally featured near the attraction's wait time sign:

Busy, busy, busy:

No new banner for the lift-hill of Hollywood Rip Ride Rockit yet:

As other site have reported in the past few days, Hollywood Rip Ride Rockit has finally officially opened its Express queue! It took them almost four years to open it due to capacity issues:

I see tired people:

Let's move on to the Transformers area:

A new temporary cart has been moved near the exit of Shrek 4-D:

It should be gone by the beginning of next week:

The Transformers Ride building:

Walls are up around the (rumored) future permanent Transformers meet-and-greet area:

It's a quite large area:

In the meantime, the Transformers autobots meet Guests in this same area, creating a major bottleneck:

Before letting them out, though, Team Members have to check if winds are too strong:

These autobots are very heavy, but high winds may cause them to fall down:

  1. lol
seeing them check the wind before the transformers m&g reminded me of the time I saw a poor guy in a huge foam-rubber printer cartridge suit getting blown over in the street as he tried to hand out leaflets.
    funniest thing ever!
