A Look Around the International Drive Area (PART 1)
The large International Drive area will receive many new additions in the next few years, the biggest one of them being I-Drive Live. Today we will take a quick look around just one small section of this busy tourist corridor, stopping at the intersection with Sand Lake Road. Let's see:

One of the most luxurious hotels found along this road is The Peabody:

Moving forward, we noticed this very badly-maintained "Universal Studios" sign (It doesn't even refer to Universal Orlando, making it look like there is only one theme park in the Universal area):
Next we find Pointe Orlando, an upscale shopping area with some really good (and themed!) restaurants too:

Everybody knows that this is an attraction that features many hands-on exhibit and interactive activities:

Any updates out of Universal Studios?
ReplyDeleteForgive my ignorance, but what is Wonderworks? It is a really cool looking building which I would probably want to check out when I get to Orlando this summer. Can someone give me some info?
ReplyDeleteI work there. It has a ropes course, 4D theater, laser tag and a bunch of interactive attractions on the 1st and 2nd floor. These pictures are actually old... WonderWorks is currently being remodeled.

ReplyDeleteIt's "educational" enough that elementary schools go there for field trips. Definitely worth checking out with young kids and preteens. The older ones won't be too bored either. Make a huge bubble for me while you're there!
