Orlando Theme Park News Has A New Look

As most of our readers have certainly noticed, Orlando Theme Park News has just received a major refurbishment, which is only one of the many steps we are taking to make OTPN a better-looking website. We are aware of the fact that some may notice only a few differences from the previous layout of the site, but many of the changes have taken place behind the scenes or are simply less noticeable. Some of the things our readers have most definitely noticed are the wider header and footer, the new background picture and the various new images and logos that have been added here and there, all around the homepage.

As we stated at the beginning, this is just the beginning. More changes will come in the following months, but in the meantime we would love to hear from you what you think about this new look and if you are experiencing any issues. We thank you in advance for your support, and we hope to receive a lot of feedback!

  1. I'll be honest with you, to critiq.
Your new logo looks less professional then your old one.
Also the death star seems really out of place, even though Star Wars is in theme parks, it still feels out of place. Like if I came here and saw Harry Potter zooming by on a broom.

I'd stick with objects that parks use for icons, like Spaceship Earth or the Universal Studios Arch.

Also the glow behind the logo looks very 90's internet. I'd really suggest going back to the old logo.

Or how about redesigning the logo to look like one of the many turn of the century signs along main street?

  3. I do agree with the fact that the logo looks tacky. Then I do enjoy a better optimization for the ipad.

  4. I would lose the blue "glow" around the main logo on top and use a less stylized font/typeface for the PARK HOPPING AROUND CENTRAL FLORIDA'S ATTRACTONS. Cleaner is better IMO. The site also looks very dark now.

  6. If you think about the typical theme park fan, the one thing that most dislike is CHANGE, so don't worry Sam, they'll come around. This is your site and you can make it look any way you choose, and all your loyal fan will still visit it every day.

  10. I'll say this.
    Keep. It. Simple.
Sometimes flashy logos and backgrounds aren't always needed.

  12. The newer design is still waaaay to busy. it just looks like a cheap blog made by some teenager.
I'm not trying to be mean, just trying to help.
    It's just too busy.

  13. The current background image (New Fantasyland) is absolutely perfect.

  14. The new background makes reading the dark colored words hard to read, ie Older Posts etc... if they could have a background to make them stand out it would make reading and using the site that much better.

    Thanks
