Typhoon Lagoon Under Rehab Until January 5, 2013

Please, be aware of this advisory, which may impact your future visits to the Walt Disney World Resort:

Disney's Typhoon Lagoon Water Park will be temporarily closed for refurbishment beginning from October 28, 2012 through January 5, 2013. During that period of time, Guests can still enjoy Disney's Blizzard Beach Water Park, which will continue to be open until January 5, 2013 as an alternative. The reason behind this extended closure is simply routine maintenance to improve the various areas of the park.

Too cold for a water park already anyway! Except the Canadians who will be in Blizzard Beach in the middle of the 2 week winter.

The water parks always alternate refurbishments during the winter. Typhoon Lagoon will be down until January, then will reopen and Blizzard Beach will go down until about March.
