The New Fantasyland - PART 1: Maurice's Cottage

It was 2010. Walt Disney World fans all over the world were rejoicing. They could hardly wait to see the new Fantasyland Forest coming to life at the Magic Kingdom Park. Despite the fact that the project received some major (overall, very positive) changes, fans (including the Orlando Theme Park News Team, of course!) continued to keep a close eye on the construction progress week after week.

Here we are today. Phase 2 of the New Fantasyland is now in soft-opening phase, and after more than two years of work, Guests can now see the splendor of the great thing Walt Disney Imagineers created for our entertainment. Did they meet our expectations? No. They actually surpassed them. Don't believe us? Ask the dishes. Then take a look by yourself, making your way through our 11-PART Fantasyland photo-gallery. Due to the fact that the photos already take a lot of space, we will definitely limit our comments. Just enjoy!:

Our first stop will be MAURICE'S COTTAGE, home of ENCHANTED TALES WITH BELLE:

  1. Wow looks amazing!
What I was thinking is that the whole transporting effect to the Beasts castle is strange when you step out of the library and you see the castle in the distance and you are back in the cottage again.
You would think that the masters in story telling would have noticed?

  3. Wow! I can't wait to go in person. How is the soft opening going to work? Is it only during select times that the New Fantasyland will be open? I wanted to go in Novermber but I will wait for December if I wont get to enjoy the new parts till then.
