Universal Studios: Transformers Goes Vertical (Part 1)

This week has been filed by major photo-updates here on Orlando Theme Park News, but it looks like we are not done yet. In fact, we do have a new Universal Studios photo-report that is definitely very interesting.

Today we will take a general look around the park (as we always do), with a focus on the future Transformers ride building, the new waterfront, and the Simpsons games, all current projects at Universal Studios. Let's not waste time with words, though, and let's start:

New temporary information sign outside the park, as the permanent sign is currently being refurbished:

The Superstar Parade is here!:

The Lorax now opens the parade instead of the minions:

We will post even more photos of the parade very soon (we do have a photo-gallery already, if you are interested). Also, it looks like Universal is now using Disney's approach, as Guests are now kept on the sidewalks using these temporary "fences" that are removed once the parade moves away from the area:

Work being done on the Blue Men Group sign:

Well, this is something unusual:

Despicable Me had only a 10-minute wait!:

New Despicable Me-themed Express ad:

The billboards on the left side of Shrek's building are gone:

This is probably due to a painting job that needed to be done on the building:

Huge structure near the Hollywood Bowl Theater:

The midway games formerly located across Fear factor have now been moved near Twister:

The Monsters Cafe was closed for the day:

Time for some Transformers photos!:

The walkway to Mel's Drive-In is now blocked due to construction:

...and the Transformers building is now going vertical!:
