Transformers Ride: Placement of the Ride's Entrance

During our most recent visit to Universal Studios Florida (that took place only two hours ago), we finally got to see the first steel columns that represent the "skeleton" of the new Transformers - The Ride building, currently under construction in the former area of the unused Soundstage 44. Even though the building has not yet received its outer walls, these steel columns give us a general idea of where the entrance of the ride will be:

As you can see, the building will have a diagonal wall facing the New York/San Francisco waterfront:

One of our readers, Gian Luca (who we thank really a lot!) sent us this rendering that shows exactly where the entrance of the building will be (the area where the car and the truck are located):

Of course, this is all speculation at this point, but we are quite sure that this will be the location of the entrance to ride, based on what we have seen in the park. That is all for now, but make sure to visit us back very soon to check out our latest Universal Studios Florida photo-report!

A big thank you once again to Gian Luca for sending to us this very nice rendering!

  1. God (or should I say Universal Creative), PLEASE do not put that AWFUL mural wall on the front of this Transformers Ride... Let's hope they theme it more like the Singapore version. *fingers crossed*

  2. Agree'd. It's so close to the New York waterfront. I hope it at least sits in with that theme, come on Universal you got the money now. XD

  3. Hi Everyone, first of all, i Must say a big thank you to the Mighty OTPN Admin (Sam).
Second, I will give you some explanation about this "rendering": I took the building from the Singapore Version of the ride from Google Earth (as you can see from the spiral painted roof top).

Later I saw some picture about the Hollywood version of the ride and I saw the Giant Mural in front of the ride and the amazing vehicle near the entrance.

I think that the will realize an Hollywood replica of the ride, because the Singapore's version is fitted into a deep sci-fi themed section of the park, meanwhile the Hollywood building is an alone building without great thematization area around.

I want also thank you all the Blog reader to enjoy my little work!!!

  4. The ride in California has the entrance in the front of the building, the one in Singalore is on the corner?
I hope the theming is great. I hate the one in Cal. It looks cheap and that would be wrong. I hope it's a fit to Mells Dinner and the New York area.

  5. @Felipe (we answered to him on Orlando United): I'm absolutely with you on that. I would be seiously sad if they decided to go with the exterior design used at Universal Studios Hollywood.

That being said, unfortunately it looks like we may not (as always, this is pure speculation) see a highly-themed building for a few reasons. First of all, the building will be clearly visible from three sides, meaning that Universal would have to theme all of them (and that's a lot of money). Also, all the major buildings at Universal Studios Florida have a Soundstage look (Shrek, Despicable Me, E.T. Adventure, Twister) or they are only partially themed (the Mummy), therefore one would expect something like that to happen.

Again, I would be absolutely unhappy to see an un-themed building, especially if it houses such an E-ticket ride. We will see.

  6. @Bigfoots: Thank you so much again for providing us that image! We are definitely happy to have been able to feature it in this post! Thanks again!

Of course, like I previously stated, it would be much better to have an exterior look that would match Singapore's version.
