Grand Floridian Resort Sept. 2012 Update (PART 2)


Thank you for continuing to read this new Grand Floridian update (PART 1 can be found HERE).

Let's now take an over-the-walls look at the new Alice in Wonderland-themed water play area currently being built right next to the Beach pool: 




It will be a great way for kids to cool off while having fun playing around this themed water tower:

Mizner's Lounge is currently closed as it is being refurbished and will become a temporary grab-'n-go location while the resort's quick service restaurant (the Gasparilla Games & Grill) is being refurbished:




Mizner's Lounge will reopen tomorrow, September 14, 2012:





On the second floor of the hotel, we noticed that one of the shops is also closed for refurbishment:

  1. I wish Disney would build attractions on the same scale and speed as they build hotels...

  2. @OT, don't feel too bad, the Pool and Grille are now three weeks behind schedule. So even when pressed to get finished, things still get hung up.

    The courtyard pool is now down for the count. It will reopen in December as a 0 entry pool.
