SeaWorld Orlando Update: Antarctica Rocks (PART 3)

According to some insistent rumors, the Terrace Garden Buffet may soon close to make way for a new thrill ride for the park. It may open as soon as 2015:

Some beautiful animals were being shown to guests in the area. This is an African Eagle:

The Bald Eagle:

What a magnificent animal!:

The Underwater Viewing Area is finally back open for guests. It had been closed since the tragic accident of 2010. Unfortunately, it looks like we were too late, as Shamu and the other killer whales were gone for the day:

Nobody here:

A close look at the new quick-rise floor:

This area is also the check-in point for guests with a reservation for the Dine with Shamu experience:

New stroller parking signs along the walkways:

It is great to see the return of Dine with Shamu:

New advertising presentations playing outside the Dine with Shamu theater:

Some new banners:

Welcome to Shamu's Happy Harbor!:

The former location of the Seven Seas Railway is still walled-off:

Something completely new is being installed. Notice the brand-new concrete and pipes:

And this is the last photo of today's update:

  1. The walled off area is/was Seven Seas Railway/Holly Jolly Railway, not the former Shamu Express.

The train will be returning and is scheduled to reopen on 9/1 and will now be a permanent addition to the area. Last year it was added as a seasonal attraction with the intent of installing it later on. The ride wil be themed throughout the year to match the season events such as Spooktacular, Christmas at SeaWorld, Just for Kids, etc.

  2. When you see the amazing theming troughout the park, Shamu's Happy Harbor looks realy out of place and ugly. This should be upgraded to a higher standard to fit the rest of this amazing park.
Thanks for the update, very exited!

  4. I think he large white boxes/cubes in Antartica are packs containing sheets of insulation board to use in the walls to keep out the heat, therefore reducing energy use.
