SeaWorld Orlando Update: Antarctica Rocks (PART 1)

You will notice that the title of today's photo-update has a dual meaning. First of all, we definitely all expect to be blown away by Seaworld Orlando's new attraction coming in 2013 (Antarctica -  Empire of the Penguin), and we can therefore say that this addition will in effect "rock." That said, we also have to share with you some interesting new photos regarding this new addition today, where you'll see some fake, Antarctica-themed... rocks. Let's start, and see what else is new:

We found Shamu meeting guests at the entrance of the park:

A few Manta photos:

Nice plants growing on the ride's main sign:

A look around Journey to Atlantis:

Time for some Antarctica progress:

Working hard, but with a smile on their faces:

Here's a panoramic view of Antarctica, showing how big it actually is (FULL-SIZE):

More photos:

There were many workers on the site:

In the area, we were able to spot a mock-up of what should be the rock-work that will soon be installed all around the new show-building. Looks impressive:

We also spotted these... well, things:

A view of the Antarctica area from the Pacific Point Preserve

By the way, it looks like there's a new stroller parking near the Sea Lions & Otter Stadium:
