New Fantasyland Update: Princesses & Grass (Part 1)

Wow, it is becoming increasingly difficult to find some creative titles for our Fantasyland updates! Despite this, we are always very happy and excited to post these photo-reports, as many of our readers love to see all the new details and buildings taking shape in this soon-to-open area! We have been following this project since work started back in 2009, and it is incredible to see how far things have gone.

But, enough with words (we were starting to think about the past...). Let's start this update alright!

Even though The Yankee Trader is actually located in Liberty Square, we include it in our Fantasyland update due to the fact that it is receiving a full refurbishment due to the nearby Fantasyland Restrooms project:

The store is still open during the refurbishment of its facade:

Let's now take a look at the future Tangled themed area:

Some over-the-walls shots for our readers:

The area is finally taking shape:

...a quite odd shape...

From the Ground:

Next-Gen for Peter Pan:

Work going on above Mickey's Philarmagic. Are they finally going to give a theme to this bare building?:

Hopefully they will continue to brick pattern:

Snow White's Scary Adventure has lost its tent and one of the poles holding a banner:

Now, let's take a look at the great castle walls:

Panoramic photo (FULL-SIZE)

Lights on in the area:

More castle walls photos:

One part of the walls has been treated, the other has not:

Beast's Castle:

Belle's Village is definitely a spectacular addition to the Magic Kingdom:

Truly beautiful architecture:

Lights continue to be on in the area:

Next-Gen poles in front of The Many Adventures of Winnie the Pooh:

  1. A google image search for "Tangled castle" showed that the rocket looking structure would be accurate for a part of the castle. Keep in mind...the castle is not the same as the tower.

If you think about it, this is very similar in its scale to the structure located in the new section!!!

    It's Beautiful

If you look at the shorter middle tower, you can see that the shape is similar, but the rounded midsection of the steel would make it easy to anchor other towers from. Of course I could be mistaken.
