Amazing New Audio-Animatronics to Soon Join Belle

About ten days ago, the Disney Parks Blog shared with us a truly amazing video of the first half of the new Enchanted Tales with Belle meet-and-greet. It was absolutely incredible to see the portal expanding in front of our eyes, wasn't it? Well, just a couple of days ago, the Disney Parks Blog posted yet another new video of this soon-to-open experience, and this time they show us the incredibly complex Audio-Animatronics that Guests will be able to see(and interact with) inside the Beast's Castle. Enjoy!:

Yes, they are amazing, especially Lumiere, who is incredibly realistic and moves just like in the movies! You will be happy to know that random previews of this meet-and-greet has just started to take place at the Magic Kingdom, according to We will soon head to the park, and we hope to be able to participate in one of these sneak-peeks! (August 31, 2012) – After 19 years of service, 25 missions, 133 astronauts carried, 299 days in space and 122,883,151 miles traveled, space shuttle Endeavour is departing Kennedy Space Center for the last time. Guests are invited to join the farewell celebration Sept. 14 - 17, 2012, at Kennedy Space Center Visitor Complex.

The public has the opportunity to see Endeavour as it is being prepared for its journey atop the Shuttle Carrier Aircraft (SCA) Sept. 14 and 15. Through scheduled exclusive Endeavour bus tours, guests will be able to view the orbiter as it is lifted by the mate-demate device (MDD) and placed atop a specially designed Boeing 747 aircraft.

In an effort to continually enhance dining options for our  guests, [Universal Orlando] has redesigned children’s menus at each of our full service restaurants in Islands of Adventure and Universal Studios Florida, with a focus on offering healthier options for kids. Each new menu item has under 300 calories and features fresh steamed vegetables and/or fresh fruit as side items. Orlando, Fla. – SeaWorld Orlando’s Animal Rescue Team rescued a manatee injured from a boat strike to its upper back, this afternoon near Cocoa Beach, Fla. The manatee was found by a concerned resident floating unusually on its right side in Brevard County’s Banana River. The resident notified Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission (FWC) about the animal, and they contacted SeaWorld to conduct the rescue.

SeaWorld rescued the nearly eight-foot-long female sub-adult, and was transported to SeaWorld Orlando for further evaluation and care. After suffering boat strike wounds, manatees sometimes float unusually due to a number of reasons. SeaWorld’s Animal Rescue Team will conduct test…

New Information on Test Track Reboot Released

Just a few minutes ago, a live question-and-answer session was held with Imagineer Melissa Jeselnick, who is currently working on the major Test Track rehab. Here you are some of the new information that were released during the live chat:
1) What kind of changes can we expect in the queue area?
The queue, the whole attraction is completely reimagined. The queue will look like nothing our guests are used to seeing it look. We'll use the space to introduce guests to Chevrolet’s Automotive Design process - how it starts with a line and ends with the cars you can buy on the showroom floor. We'll have actual items, sketches, cars, models from GM that have never been seen before by anyone outside the Chevrolet family. It's basically changing from testing to design.

2) How are the vehicles customized?

SeaWorld Orlando Update: Antarctica Rocks (PART 1)

You will notice that the title of today's photo-update has a dual meaning. First of all, we definitely all expect to be blown away by Seaworld Orlando's new attraction coming in 2013 (Antarctica -  Empire of the Penguin), and we can therefore say that this addition will in effect "rock." Contempo Cafe Closing for Refurbishment: Aug. 23-26

The Contempo Cafe (quick service eatery located inside the Contemporary Resort) was closed today and will remain unavailable to guests through August 26, 2012. Here you are more information:

In order for our resort to continue to flourish as a magical destination, it is necessary for us to make enhancements from time to time. Beginning Thursday, August 23, the Contempo Cafe will be closed due to a refurbishment project. We expect this location to reopen on Monday, August 27.
During this time, there will be a smaller version of the Contempo Cafe set up in the Grand Republic rooms A and B located just off the escalators on the second floor in the Contemporary Tower. A new nighttime show is coming to the Magic Kingdom Park! It will be visually similar to the current "The Magic, the Memories, and You" projection show, but it will certainly continue to dazzle the park's Guests using new visual effect. Major Change Coming to Magic Kingdom's EMH

A very important change will soon take place at the Magic Kingdom Park starting from next week. In fact, from Sunday, August 26, 2012, Splash Mountain will not be available any longer to Guests attending the evening Extra Magic Hours. RFID Lock Conversion Starting Soon at Kidani Village

As you know, all Disney Resorts in Florida are undergoing major changes to upgrade the room's door locks so that they are able to use the Radio Frequency Identification (RFID) technology. Beginning Thursday, August 23, new door locks will begin to be installed at Disney’s Animal Kingdom Lodge – Kidani Village. The new door locks will be enabled with Radio Frequency Identification (RFID) door access. New Key to the World cards also enabled with RFID technology will be issued to Guests using the new door locks at Kidani Village. Pirates of the Caribbean: More Queue Modification

As we reported back in July, some quite important changes are coming to the queue line of the pirates of the Caribbean attraction, located in the Magic Kingdom Park. Our first photo-update showed mostly some aesthetic changes (i.e. - new lights, cannon balls on the walls, etc.). Today we have got very good news regarding LEGOLAND Florida. According to some plans found online by another website, ParkRumors, it looks like pirates will invade another area of the park next year. The location chosen is found on the right side of LEGO Kingdoms' main entrance, on the back of DUPLO Land. Here's a map of the area we are talking about (screenshot taken from Google Maps):

FASTPASS+ Tests to Resume this Coming September

An interesting advisory was recently released by the Walt Disney World Resort. Indeed, it states that there will be once again tests in some of the parks using the new FASTPASS+ system: _________________________________________________________________________

As part of our effort to continually look for new ways to enhance the Guest experience, a test of additional enhancements to our FASTPASS service, which we're referring to as FastPass+, will take place in September at Magic Kingdom Park. Major Makeover Coming to Epcot's France Pavilion

Universal: Work on Connecting Train Moving Forward

As you certainly know, Universal Orlando is radically mutating and is increasingly becoming a much bigger threat to Disney. One of its latest project is a realistic train that will soon connect Universal Studios Florida to its sister theme park, Universal's Islands of Adventure.
