LEGOLAND Florida Rumors: What May Be Planned

Our friends over at LEGOLANDphotos.com have posted an interesting update on their site that seems to hint to some of the projects that the park is planning to reveal in the next few years. Take a look:

A couple of things I've heard lately. Don't take as gospel...
  • Legoland has been trying to buy the Admiral's Inn/Parkview hotel and the deal recently went though. I suppose keeping an eye out of the property on www.polkpa.org would tell the tale (when it gets updated.)
  • They're looking to expand Coastersaurus and add a 2nd train. Cost of the add-on is to be around 1 million. I suppose it would be pretty easy to expand it back into the area where the Starliner used to run.
  • They want to expand the Pirates Cove area and add more pirate-like attractions. Sounds exciting... I hope they add the pirate-ship water battle ride like they have in California.
  • Star Wars Miniland is still on the radar.
Finally, I heard that they originally expected to lose 3 million in the first months, but instead have made 11 million. That bodes well for new attractions!

Again, these are only rumors for now, but we did hear in the past something regarding a Star Wars expansion for Miniland U.S.A. and a planned expansion of the Pirates' Cove area of the park (that should include a version of LEGOLAND California's splash battle). The Coastersaurus expansion and the deal with the nearby Best Western hotel rumored are completely new to us. If you have any interesting detail or rumor to share with us, don't hesitate to post your comments!

A big thank you again to LEGOLANDphotos.com for sharing these rumors with us.
