Universal Studios Update - JAWS No More (PART 2)

Here we are on part 2 of this new Universal Studios update (PART 1 can be found here).

Let's continue our update by taking a look at the former Amity Village:

Nothing...

This is so depressing:

Yes, the entire area has been completely walled-off:

So sad to see this area that was once filled with familiar noises and laughter now completely abandoned:

The walls now feature posters of some of the most famous Universal movies:

They have been placed in chronological order:

The former JAWS photo-opportunity is still open:

The "Captain Jake's Amity Boat Tour" sign is gone. Forever:

The Village Circle Hall (aka - the restrooms) is still open:

Goodbye...

...bye...

If you would like to see a lot of photos from the Amity area, click here.

Oh no! Why is this still here??:

Dislike, dislike, dislike:

And we are...

...moving on, to Woody Woodpecker's Kidzone:

A new green fence has been put up to hide the former site of the old Hard Rock Cafe':

What are they hiding?:

Do you want to know what;s on the other side? Then, let's get back in time:

Universal has built a lot of new, temporary offices:

A look from the other side:

The E.T. Adventure is greater than ever with the new effect lights inside:

Do you remember the fake wooden doors that blocked an entrance of the Gardens of Allah? Well, they're finally gone!:

And we conclude with a view of one of the Lorax, who was meeting guests near the Cafe la Bamba:

See ya' all soon!:

This concludes our update. See you tomorrow, with our ultimate JAWS - The Ride Tribute!

  1. was it a really quiet day at Universal or is "Fear Factor Live" that unpopular - it looked almost empty! (i've no idea if this is normal: i've never seen the show, nor have any desire to do so)
why do Universal persist with such a dud but close Amity & jaws?

  3. All those walls don't look great considering the prices they charge it is not likely to satisfy those people there at this current time and therefore shape their view of Universal Studios, which is a great park.

  4. Does anyone think it's possible that the new temporary offices have been placed there to move in all the employees working in the train's line (if the news about potterland in amytiville village is true) that will connect both potterland side???

  5. I wouldn't consider the last movie posters on that wall. "The best".

How many people attended Fear Factor? Can't tell from the picture, but it looks like a crappy turnout. (Not that I've ever seen a good turnout for that crappy show)

    RIP Jaws.

  6. Amazing all those walls. I´m very exited to see them. It´s a huge area that they can fill in with some wonderfull new attractions.
Yes it´s sad to see Jaws go but the attraction was a pain to maintain and I´m sure something wonderfull is comming back in it´s place. Why they didn´t rip out the Fear Factor Live show to add it to the new Potter land is beond me. The show is horrible and I bet that a new showbuilding with a stunt/magic Potter show would bring in tons of people and tons of money!
