LEGOLAND Florida Building the "Hero Factory"

Just a few days ago, we posted an interesting LEGOLAND Florida update that included pictures of walls that were up in the Imagination pavilion, right next to the Build & Test workshop (you can view again the photos we are referring to by clicking on this link). We guessed that the walled-off are would be eventually turned into a new indoor area. And it looks like we were right.

Indeed, thanks to a report on LEGOLANDphotos.com, we discovered that the area we are talking about will soon become home of the "Hero Factory," which did not exist when the park officially opened to the general public on October 15, 2011. Here's the official confirmation of LEGOLAND (they answered a question of one of their fans on Facebook):

Question from a fan: When is the Hero Factory/Bionicle part going to open? We were there 2 weeks ago. The park maps & website indicate that it is open, but actually it is still under construction. What gives?

Answer from LEGOLAND Florida: Thanks for your visit, Susannah! That portion of I-Zone will be open this spring.

The Hero Factory is defined on LEGOLAND Florida's official website as an "immersive interactive play area based on LEGO’s popular Hero Factory line."

We will be again at the park in the next couple of weeks to bring an update on the subject! Stay tuned!
