A Preview of Shanghai Disneyland's Storybook Castle

As you will surely know, earlier this year the Walt Disney Parks & Resorts division of the Walt Disney Company announced the start of the work on the future site of Shanghai Disneyland. It will be a truly out-of-the-ordinary Magic Kingdom, as all the lands will be located in different areas of the parks (the land of the future, for example, will be located in the west side of the park, instead than in the east side).

One of the major changes that the park will showcase is the castle itself, which will be the largest Disney castle ever created, and it will sit in the middle of a huge forest (that will correspond to the Central Hub of the park). Just recently (August 2011), Disney released a new virtual tour of the castle, that can be found HERE. Let's take a look together at some of the images seen in that video:

First of all, here is a 360 degrees view of the Castle (going counterclockwise):

The details of the castle are simply fantastic:

The back of the castle is just as beautiful as the front, as you can see:

Now, here's a look inside:

The castle will house different attractions & shows, a restaurant, and more:

The atrium:

Great, isn't it?:

Here's a look at the various levels of the castle:

This is going to be really beautiful. It will surely be the most beautiful Disney castle ever created (even though ours is great too, of course!).

Shanghai Disneyland is scheduled to open to the public in about four to five years. For more information about the resort, check out their official website HERE. We also have all the artworks of the park in one post, that can be found at this link.

  1. The castle is absolutely beautiful but why not also update Walt Disney's Cinderella castle. It is the only one of Disney parks that has world in it so why not make the Walt Disney World castle the biggest. Just a thought, the designs are flawless.
