Disney's Hollywood Studios Update - (PART 2)

Welcome to the second part of this new Disney's Hollywood Studios update (for PART 1, click here).

Let's ride the long (and boring) Studio Tram Tour:

The pre-show is really uninteresting, compared to Universal Studios' pre-shows:

The special effects are really toned down:

Interestingly, there were a lot of props from the defunct Adventurer's Club (from Pleasure Island's most important club):

Another prop we didn't notice before:

As we reported in a separate update, a new artwork for the new Fantasyland is being worked on in the backstage of Disney's Hollywood Studios (more information here):

Around the Streets of America:

A temporary "Italian" restaurant has popped-up next to the Premier Theater (yet another unused venue):

A couple of picnic tables:

Unfortunately, it doesn't offer real Italian food:

The meet-and-greet are very popular:

...especially Phineas and Ferb's:

Pizza Planet:

Buzz has been missing since a long time:

He's still inside the restaurant, though:

The worst pizza we have ever eaten. Never again. Never (it's the same they serve around the resort, EXCEPT at Via Napoli):

A general look around the restaurant (which is really nothing special):

Muppet*Vision 3D:

It's a long, long line at Star Tours: The Adventures Continue:

50 minutes. Not very bad, but still long:

The Jedi Training Academy is extremely popular. Look how many show times they have each day!:

Sounds Dangerous will finally leave the scene in May 2012:

What will replace it? For know, nobody knows:

The former post-show area of the attraction is now the recruitment center for the Jedi Academy:

All gone:

Indiana Jones has just received a fantastic, refurbished sign:

It looks absolutely great:

Gertie's Ice Cream was actually open!:

It's now finally the time to go home...

And this is all! Thank you very much for reading, and have a good night!

  1. They should put the Indian Ride that is in Disneyland CA in Disney Hollywood Studios, also this park really needs this Monster Inc. ride. Also i am thinking once Snow White ride leaves i think they will reuse this ride for a Rattiutie themed ride, then Disney Hollywood Studios would be a great park.

  2. Great update!

@Dean, they won't be using the Snow White building for a Ratatouille ride. They will be using it for another (WHY ANOTHER?!) meet and greet.

  3. No WALL-E in anywhere. Why Disney hates so much WALL-E ??

  5. Thank you for another insightful update! It always makes me happy to see a lengthy update on such a well themed park. I am with you on your feelings for the hat. I understand why they put it there. A central icon. The problem with it is it's not coherent with the theme of the park. I have always thought that the Earful Tower should be in the center. Right adjacent to TGMR so it doesn't block it from the main entrance view. It would be tall enough to provide a central landmark (for a park with such a muddled layout as DHS this is a must)and it would be on par with the theme. Thank you again for all the hard work you do!

  6. There are a few things very good in this park and a lot are crap. I hope they one day reimagine everything exept the entrance street and the one going to the tower of terror. The rest needs a makeover like California Adventure park. They have great franchises but do nothing with them (like Star Wars and Indy). And please burn the ugly hat that kills the magic when you enter the park.
