Fantasyland Miscellaneous News - SkyWay & More

After having checked out the Beauty and the Beast realm, as well as the Little Mermaid's area and Storybook Circus, it is time to check out the "old" Fantasyland, as it is receiving a lot of attention too.

We'll start with a look at the former Skyway area, which is now not accessible to the general public:

The entrance to the SkyWay/stroller parking:

Work should get back on track soon, judging from the fact that they have closed the stroller parking (even though it might have been just a temporary closure):

A look around:

Most of the former building is now gone, of course:

Part of the queue of Peter Pan's Flight has received a fresh coat of paint:

Work has almost been completed on the roof of the Pinocchio Village Haus:

There are, of course, some parts of the roof which still needs to be refurbished:

One of the towers above "it's a small world" is being refurbished too:

Work also continues on the area next to the carousel:

The castle walls:

A brief look from above:

Sir Mickey's is receiving some attention too:

Some speculate that Fantasyland may be the next land to receive interactive elements for Magic Kingdom's new scavenger's hunt game:

More walls:

Snow White is leaving soon. Some websites claim that it may be closing as early as February 2012:

Both lights were working this time:

New kinds of "bears" were being sold at the Hundred Acre Goods store:

Quite unusual:

Work on the enchanted Grove continue as well:

It was rumored that the Enchanted Grove would receive a new theme which would include the Cheshire cat from Alice in Wonderland:

...and, it looks like rumors have been finally confirmed: Take a look at the font used in this new restroom sign (it looks like it came out from an Alice in Wonderland movie, right?):

Another look at the lights that were recently installed on the new roof of the Mad Tea Party:

And this concludes our update. Stay tuned for another big Magic Kingdom update, which will cover all the other areas of the park.

Remember also to check out PART 1 (which feature photos of the Beauty and the Beast area), as well as PART 2 ( with pictures of the Little Mermaid's castle and Storybook Circus) of this update!
