DTD - Watercraft Transportation Changes Oct. 15, 2011

An advisory for today, that will affect the watercraft transportation from Downtown Disney to the nearby resorts and vice-versa, as well as the watercraft taxi service between all three areas of the shopping district:

Downtown Disney - Watercraft Transportation Adjustments 10/15/2011

We are pleased to be hosting the Orlando International Dragon Boat Festival event on Village Lake at Downtown Disney® area on Saturday, October 15. There will be approximately 1,400 athletes competing in this race. For this reason, Watercraft transportation on Village Lake at Downtown Disney® will be impacted on Saturday, October 15, 2011.

• Watercraft transportation to Downtown Disney from Port Orleans Resort - Riverside and French Quarter, Old Key West Resort and Saratoga Springs Resort will be suspended until 5:30pm.
• Regular bus service from these resorts to Downtown Disney will be available.
• Watercraft transportation between these resorts will be available.
• All watercraft taxi service on Village Lake at Downtown Disney will be suspended until 5:30pm.
• Cap’n Jack’s Marina will be closed on Saturday, October 15.

An Athletes Village will be located on the grassy area near Cirque du Soleil®. Viewing areas will be located at the Athletes Village and along the Downtown Disney West Side waterway behind Bongos Cuban Café™ and House of Blues®.
Guests in the affected resorts will be informed through an in-room flyer.
