Islands of Adventure update - Hulk repainting & more

Hello Ladies and Gentlemen, and welcome to a new Islands of Adventures update!
This week, we'll see how the Hulk repainting is progressing, if Mythos had to be cleaned once again, another look at the more-than-amazing Dudley Do-Right Ripsaw Falls and much more!

The wait times were not as bad as I imagined they would be:

Green Eggs & Ham was not open...

...but the Menu was out:

The Green Eggs & Ham burger:

Mythos was very, very clean!:

It's great to see that they really maintain their great parks with care:

It still looks just a bit on the green side, but it's just perfect. You can't completely clean it. The water is constantly lowing, that's way it turns green (sorry Hulk. Four you it's not the same story):

Trying to escape from the Mysterious city:

I love this sight:

The Sindbad show is always great to see:

I was able to be the first in the Express Line, so I took this photo of the HUGE stadium where they perform:

New silver holder for the ruby:

Sigh, Triceratops Encounter. Please, come back for good. At least every weekend:

No visible work on the queue:

Pizza Predattoria was open:

They now serve also chicken wings:

Hmmm... really long wait time for JP:

Smiley faces after the big drop:

It looks like the Food Chain received some new writings on the side, but we are not completely sure:

They do look very new:

A packed Toon Lagoon:

Dudley still looks SWELL!:

Really great job. Great, great, great:

Popeye, our all-time favorite water ride on earth, was having some problems:

They removed the seating area under Spike's House, in Toon Lagoon:

Work in the Toon Lagoon Stadium:

Oh, and as Screamscape confirmed, Matt Hoffman's Aggro Circus is indeed coming back for the busy season. All the stuff for the show is still in the theater, ready to be used:

- PROGRESS ON THE HULK -

Its color before:

Now:

It's much greener:

Some pressure washing going on here:

Good work. After a good coat of paint or two, it'll look fantastic!:

Some parts already look great:

What a difference!!

Before:

Now:

Magnificent work:

The whole section under the tunnel is great-looking. The rust has completely been removed:

More work:

Some of the pillars have already been repainted, these have to be among the last ones to be repainted:

  2. Thanks for the comment, Bigfoots!
I personally think that now they should focus on Universal Studios and then on a new park/water park!

  4. Wouldn't mind seeing some Potterland update, myself, but no rush. ;)

As for how things look in the park, I have to say that I'm impressed. They must have earmarked a good budget for those side projects, 'cause they seem to really be on the ball with Hulk and Mythos, and I'd imagine the fire at Dudley was a good excuse to get everything looking great there.

Here's to hoping they keep things maintained there.

Awesome update! Seing the wait times makes me feel glad that I didn't go to Universal when I was orlando on Thursday-Friday. Glad to see the Progress on the Hulk. BTW How was that Green Eggs and Ham Burger? It looked pretty good.

  6. i really hope that there isnt a harry potter extension as it will be a damn shame to lose the lost continent to harry & his chums.
universal should either buy more land if possible or get rid of the studios between the two parks including the employee car park as these areas are a huge waste of space in my mind

  10. I wish Universal Studios Hollywood had a big roller coaster like all the other Universal Parks. Sure they have the Mummy, But every Universal park has 2 or more coasters. USH only has 1.
