Tiki Room to remain closed until further notice

As you know, since the "Enchanted Tiki Room - Under New Management" caught on fire some weeks ago, the show remained closed, while the times guide still featured it open, therefore confusing guests that didn't know what happened. Starting this week, times guide have all been updated, and they show the Enchanted Tiki Room as "under refurbishment":

It's still unclear whether the show will receive a completely new show (therefore making many fan of the original attraction happy) or if they will just re-build the Audio-Animatronic figures that have supposedly been burned down or ruined by the water. Also, a specific reopening date for the attraction has not been released yet.

In case there will be any news on the matter, we will let you know. Keep checking out OTPN for  updates.

  1. Well.. this is a good news... with almost all closed in Magic Kingdom, this refurbishment time means this show will reborn as the Arabian Phoenix (talking about birds, ahahaha) more beautiful then before... and believe me is one of the most fun show in MK!!!!

  2. I really hope they will put a new show here... The "Under new Management" stuff is not as good as the original show!

  3. Let me put it this way: I think Disney FINALLY realized that they had angered the tiki gods by not showing the original Walt Disney's Enchanted Tiki Room at WDW. Wouldn't be surprised if the tiki gods actually caused that fire...

  4. @ BJ :::too true::: :) We sure miss the original too. I'm all for additioanl changes and upgrades, but some things should remain classic and untouched. How many things can you count that you miss that have been eaten up by progress: Mr. Toad, Captain Nemo, Soon to be Snow White and the list goes on. Yet, through it all Small World still lives! Life is definitely not fair! LOL

  5. As much as I'd love to see "Under New Management" go away, I expect they're going to go the cheapest route - just replace the damaged parts and leave it as it is.

  6. I wish some other attractions catch fire. Like the Great Movie Ride, Ellen's Energy Adventure, and Imagination.
