Splash Mountain's NEW lap bars pictures!

Thanks to one of our readers, Ben G. (that we thank a lot!!), we have some pictures of the new lap bars that have been installed into Splash Mountain's ride vehicles:

Now, let the discussion begin! Just kidding... What do you think about them, though? I really think they don't take a lot of space! It looks like there's even more space than before! Once again, thank you very much, Ben, for submitting your great photos!!
And, be on the lookout, as we prepare a brand-new Magic Kingdom update, with some very interesting news.

  1. I think they are really nice actually, it seems like they fit prefectly (color, space, shape). Good!

  3. We'll have to wait to see what impact this has on ride capacity. I've read elsewhere that they used to be able to squeeze an extra child or two into the seats if there was room, but with the lap bars it will strictly be two people per seat. Then again, as American children and adults keep getting wider, maybe that would have stopped even without the lap bars!

  4. This is no big deal. There were very limited rows with 3 people. I've also read that boarding time will be longer, but I highly doubt that that's true. Cast Members never check restraints at WDW. They simply ask guests to lift up on them, which takes very little time.

  6. Hi everyone! My Name is Brandt im from Brazil. I used to work at splash mountain and i really liked the new lap bars. You have no idea how many troubles we had. Lots of people just get up and start to walk inside the mountain. This is a good thing for safety! I liked! :)
