Inside Cinderella Castle

Next year Tokyo Disneyland Park will open Cinderella's Fairy Tale Hall, a walkthrough-type attraction located inside its Cinderella Castle.

Located in the castle where Cinderella lives with Prince Charming, the princess wants to share her magical story, so she has decided to open up the castle, even during her absence, and exhibit various artworks that show scenes from her story.

Guests will be able to wander through rooms that bring to life the world of the Disney classic film "Cinderella" and view paintings, diorama and other artworks that follow the story of the beloved princess. At the lobby and corridor will be eight murals showing how Cinderella changed from beloved daughter, to servant girl, and then to a princess.  Guest also will see a diorama of Cinderella magically transformed into wearing a beautiful ball gown and other artworks made from various materials such as paper, wood and glass. In the Grand Hall guests will find a magnificent chandelier, the renowned glass slipper, a throne and special paintings that reveal a magical message when photographed using a flash.

The attraction is scheduled to open April 15, 2011.

I wish our Cinderella Castle had a of tour like this one.
Almost all the castles of the Disney Parks have a tour inside it, only WDW's (even though it's one of the best looking castles) doesn't have one. It's true, we have a restaurant, a suite and some images of Cinderell'as story, but I don't think it's enough. What do you think?

  1. We really don't have the room to do it. There are extra rooms inside of the castle but those are for the costuming and etc for certain shows in front of the castle. Ours is the only one that has that narrow of a base. DLR and TDL have a much wider footprint so theres more room to work with. Maybe this could be added into FLE?

  2. The comment about all the other castles having a tour in them is a bit off.

DL has the walk thru because when it was made it was just a shell and they forced it in, which actually makes it really fun!

MK has the most unique of all the Magic Kingdom parks a restaurant with the chance to eat in it!

TDL had the villains tour, which has now turned into this....

Paris has a gallery of displays which illustrate the story of Sleeping Beauty in tapestries, stained glass windows and figures in the area where the restaurant would be in MK.

Hong Kong......well that has nothing in it....

  3. Thanks for the explanation, Jerm! I didn't know that Hong Kong didn't have a tour (but I wan't sure, so I put "ALMOST all the castles of the Disney Parks have a tour inside it"..
If our castle had a tour too, it would have been by far the greatest. Don't get me wrong, for me it is (even more than the Disneyland Paris one, which is smaller), but i think a Tour would be fun...
