Which is your favorite land?
Orlando theme parks have a lot of different themed areas.
Each one of them is great, but some are timeless, just the best of the best.

WWoHP all the way! Even before it opened, IOA was my favorite theme park I'd been to. But WWoHP is something I'd always dreamed of, ever since I first read the books ten or so years ago. I really connected and grey up with the stories...so it literally was my dreams come true.
ReplyDeleteFrom a fan's point of view, it's nearly perfect. There are some minor details that stray from the canon of the series, but it's incredible. It's so highly themed, and Universal really put forth the effort to make it feel completely immersive...the students who walk around just talking about school really make you feel like you're in the pages of one of the novels, and the conductor at the train station is always in character! Everything looks and feels authentic. I cannot say enough good things.
From an outsider's perspective (or maybe just a theme park junkie perspective) it's still a massive achievement. The sheer fact that they refused to sell any Coke products had me surprised...but it makes the experience all the more realistic. If I were not a fan ( I can't even imagine it!) I think I'd be intrigued, and leave feeling like I should go home and rent all the movies, or borrow the books from the library!
So yeah...WWoHP is my favorite, for various reasons...but mostly because it really did take something that was such a big part of me, and made it a reality.
