Magic Kingdom general update

Here's the update I promised you yesterday!:

Another look at the newly-refurbished side of the Exposition Hall:

the rest is still under the tarps, but I can see that the rest of the building looks better than ever with the refurbishment, so I'm more than happy to wait a little longer!:

New things hanging from the columns:

I don't know who they are, but they looked like new cast members:

The works on Main Street are a bit strange: What are they doing to the Emporium?:

These guys are great! Their music really makes you feel you are outside the real world, in the past:

These works on Casey's Corner are long too:

The Crystal palace:

In Adventureland:

I hope they'll move these carpets in another park when the new double Dumbo will be completed:

Pirates:

Splash Mountain:

...and the nearby Big Thunder Mountain (both closed for a couple of hours due to lightning):

Works continue also on the Liberty Tree tavern:

Another look at the new Peter Pan's facade:

The lights in front are still missing:

Works on the side of Peter Pan:

Pinocchio's Village house:

The windows overlooking "it's a Small World" are now decorated:

Don't eat the pizza here!! It' gross!:

Snow White seriously needs a refurb! Take a look at California's version by clicking HERE.

Dumbo's new clock:

Fantasyland's expansion continues:

"I'll save you, Piglet!"
"Wow... a big waterfall!"

 From Snow White...:

...to Space Mountain!:

Some more pictures of the new TTA PEOPLEMOVER signs:

Yes, it's blurry, but I love the colors of the sky with the castle:

I decided to keep this picture because it's strange! It seems like you can see through the railings! Look at the blue one!:

And to conclude:

See you soon! Thanks for viewing!

  1. maybe they are going to use the carpets for the double dumbo?

  2. Yes, that's a possible rumor, and i really hope they make space in the Adventureland plaza! it's alway a bit too crowded with the carpets...

P.S. - I removed your first comment because it was double :-)

  3. Maybe if they use it (Don't see why not, its cheaper then buying a new one and then having three in the park. We all know TDO will be looking for budget cuts :P) they could put a big fountain in its spot?

  4. Yeah, that'd be great! (Before there was a fountain too!). But with Tom Staggs, I can see a much brighter future Austin... He seems a great guy! He's putting all the things together, fixing the problems of the current Fantasyland expansion, so he may do well also in this case!

  5. I like the pizza at Village Haus (of course it's been two years since I've had it! lol) I do think as far as theme park pizza, Disney's is better than most.

  6. Yes, I remember too that it was good some months ago, but they must have changed the way they do it, because now it's not anymore very good...

  7. Two things:

    1) The Aladdin Magic Carpets are staying put, so don't get your hopes up.

    2) Stop picking on TDO! They don't have as much power as you all like to think, so leave them alone!

  8. Anonymous, you have to understand that everybody has different opinions, so don't get irritated if someone disagrees with you...
We may not know everything about them, and we may not be able to judge what they're doing, but we post our opinions, what we think....

About the carpets, if it' true they're staying, I'm really sad. They only contribute to a bad bottleneck in that area...

  9. Yea, the Carpet's won't be leaving anytime soon. And it's too bad. From the land entrance to the Swiss Family Treehouse, Adventureland has been largely unchanged since 1971, and was once unchanged to the Sunshine Tree Terrace and the Enchanted Tiki Room.

This was once the best designed area of the park (maybe tied with Caribbean Plaza and Liberty Square), but the Aladdin spinner and it's associated Middle Eastern theming clash quite badly with the combined Polynesian/Asian/African designs in the area.

  11. The carpets are going to Tokyo Disneyland. If you google Oriental Land Company you should find a press release. The TDL version of the ride is much more elaborate than what we had in Orlando (based on the rendering).

  12. I agree that the Fantasyland rides should get a refurb, not only outside, but inside as well. And are they going to work on the front of Peter's facade? They made both sides look nice with the nice tower and the shingles, but the front is still a circus tent. Anyway, great update!
