OOTL: Gardaland's new coaster

As you know, this is an Orlando-focused site, but when something big happens to other parks we know, we can do an exception.

Gardaland is a theme park in Italy. I grew up with this park.
It was then bought by the Merlin corp. (that also has all LEGOLAND parks, ALTON TOWERS, SEA LIFE marine aquariums, THORPE PARK, etc...) in 2006, and mostly RUINED the park with strange and pointless additions.

But, next year, things may be different.

Here's Gardaland's 2011 new attraction:

X-RAPTOR

Prisoners of a terrifying flying beast that leveled the land, you will be taken on a flight of terror through the forests and wastelands while trying to escape the claws of the animal.

Various additional information:
  • You sit on the sides of the rails
  • Terrific underground boarding station
  • 800m journey
  • 30 meters in height and a steep climb
  • 90 ° turn at high speed
  • Passages close to scenic barriers .
  • Contacts with the surface of a lake and various water effects
  • Two elements with a feeling of weightlessness
Well, it looks like a great addition to the park!

  1. Presumably, this is adjacent to Lago di Garda? I am going to Malcesine next June. Is this park near by?

Sorry for all of the questions. I have an 8 year-old who loves crazy coasters (and he loves Italy, too.)Seems like a win/win.

  2. Yes, it's located right on the coast of the Garda Lake, and it's a nice park to see (there are only 4 coasters, but also some very good rides!). If you go, YOU ABSOLUTELY CAN'T MISS "I CORSARI"!!! Remember!!

  4. So are you sad that you're not there to see it through?
Or are you going, when it opens? Cause if you can, I think you should. It would be nice. Also there's the plus of strange Italian pics! Lol. It would be nice!

  5. I don't know if I'm going, Francisco. Even though it would be nice, Gardaland is no longer my favorite park. If i have to choose which European park to visit again, I have NO doubts it will be EUROPAPARK. It's the most amazing, best-themed theme park in Europe. And the mack family (that runs the park)is great!

  6. Then EUROPAPARK it is! I hope you get a change to go. I've seen pics of it, but it would be nice to see your pics, EUROPAPARK style. By the way, keep doing your thing there in Orlando! Thanks again...
