Epcot update (Pizzeria almost done!)

Here we are today with a new Epcot update.
As usual, this park is great. It looked like it was going to pour down but it ended up to be a great, not-too-hot day. But, let's see what's new and what's different!:

The clouds were promising a huge thunderstorm:

If you ever need some help, go here:

Mouse Gear is the best shop of any Disney Theme Park:

A new Toy Story 3 game is now available at Innoventions West, taking the place of the UP! game:

But, the UP! game has only been relocated just a few steps away:

The one and only water "attraction" Epcot has:

Nice:

Even better:

I really like these new signs! Most of the people actually need them:

These look new too, but I'm not sure about that:

Catch you later:

The new Hacienda is GREAT!! Look what a great job they did!!:

Most of the tarps have been taken away:

Look at the details:

New caramel shop coming soon (see our previous update):

And now, Pizzeria time!! We've got new details to show you!

The statues are receiving details:

The restaurant's logo:

And the highlights of the restaurant!:

TRANSLATION (I'm Italian, so I can do it!):

-Specialita' della casa: Specialties of the house
- Pizza: You know this!!
- Antipasti: Starters
-Pasta al forno: lasagna (it's the same)

The Imagination pavilion...

...and its hidden bathrooms!!! Only 0.1% of Epcot's visitors actually know their location! I found them just because I was curious to see what was there!!! I didn't even know they existed!:

Isn't this great??:

Nothing new here:

Magnificent:

I HATE THIS:

... AND THIS:

Thanks for viewing, and have a great one!!!
Please, comment!!

  1. I wonder why Mission Space wasn't built in WOL's spot? Probably cheaper to build Mission than to update Horizons, I never got to ride it :(

  2. Horizons was demolished for Mission: Space in 1999, but Wonders of Life was operating as recently as 1996. And Samuele, don't forget the leaping fountains in front of the Imagination pavilion!

  3. If you had to choose one of the two buildings to demo, I would still think more people would like to ride Horizons than talking about the body... Ick. Thats just me, oh well.

Epcot is still the only park without a roller coaster, what could you theme a roller coaster to in Future World?

  4. Thanks to all of you for the comments. I miss the old Epcot (Wol, Horizons, JII original version, etc..) even though I never got to see it. It was amazing, those were the best dark rides ON EARTH! And they're now gone. The only good dark rides that remained are Spaceship Earth (ruined at the end though) and Living with the land (talking about Future World)....
About a coaster, i thought about it, but I think it would ruin Epcot's great skyline...
I don't know... maybe a Matterhorn-style ride in a pavilion would be great!

  5. Underground coaster hahaha! JK, I don't understand why everyone says SE is ruined at the end? I must be too young :/

  6. Well, at the end there was a beautiful set of small buildings, virtual interactivity, and many more things, now you can just play with a stupid screen, that becomes repetitive after a while....

  7. Via Napoli looks brilliant. Took them long enough. Oh and Mission Space is epic. I know it's not Horizons but there's no reason it's inappropriate for Future World. We could use an attraction that inspires space travel, especially when our government doesn't give a dang about NASA. We choose to go!

  8. Oh yeeaaahhh! I remember those! They were my favorite part. I wish they had left the ending and added the screens to interact with the ride. Now THAT would have been cool.

  9. It all comes down to corporate sponsorship. Horizon's sponsor, GE, chose not to renew in 1994. It was only kept open to have another ride while Test Track was being built next door. MetLife's sponsorship of WoL ended in 2001. It was more than just "Talking about the body." They had Body Wars, a great motion simulator ride, and a host of fun activities and shows. It embraced the original vision of EPCOT Center - to both inform and entertain, and at the same time as often as possible.

  10. I love Epcot's Edu-tainment, but when it comes to sponsorship you're stuck in a rut- for a sponsor to take over WOL it needs to be updated, but for it to be uptdated you need a sponsor to pay for some of it.
They really need to keep up with Epcot because it can't be Future World with tech from 10+ years ago.

  11. OTPN, I very strongly disagree with your opinions on Spaceship Earth's being "ruined", as well as with your opinions on Mission Space.

Epcot still has lots of great attractions either way.

  12. So is Maelstrom no longer a water attraction?
