Disney Studios update

A great DHS update today!
There are some works going on here too! Of course, not as much as in Magic Kingdom, but enough!

Here you are the pictures!:

These ads are all over the park in this period:

Let's go to Disney's Hollywood Studios: Where showbiz is Where action takes center stage!

In my humble opinion, that hat is an eyesore:

Lights, Camera... Action!

Nice meet-and-greet:

I have never seen a single Star Wars movie, so don't ask me anything about it, because I don't know anything!!:

The only Star Wars-related movie I have ever seen is... Star Tours!!:

Works continue on New York's facades, and let me say that they look great!:

Pizza Planet:

Muppet*Vision 3D:

Nothing changed on the pre-show (and I'm actually happy about that, for it's hilarious), but they have brand new LCD screens (even though some have strange colors..), a great new carpet in the Main auditorium and a TERRIFIC HD MOVIE! They really improved a lot the movie!!!:

You know why these two are there? They entered in a contest... and they lost!!!! Great joke:

This seems a new ad:

Nice Italian food here:

Some characters:

I have no clue about who is this:

.... this...:

....and this one:

A show where there was before the Hunchback of Notre Dame (a long time ago):

I'm happy that these Power Rangers are leaving:

The black death I guess:

Come to Studio Tour, and you'll understand how movies work and how to waste 35 minutes of your day:

I think that this Star Wars is too violent! Look at all the guns they have!:

This was even trying to shoot a person! (but luckily there was Karate Kid in the back, to save Grandpa):

Yes, they are preparing an exciting new production here.... OPENING: 2035

I love this ride, but it's impossible to go on it without Fastpass:

See?!!:

Looking forward to see this gone, forever:

Lots-O'-Huggin' Bear was there too:

No more FANTASMIC! in the shop's window:

Works in front of Rock 'n' Roller coaster:

It was 100 minutes!:

Props from HORIZON in the Studio Tour queue:

The Earfull Tower:

And that's all! See you later!!

  1. So do you think the hat is an eye sore? I really have no opinion about it. But i think the hat exist out of necessity. When i went in the 90's i don't think that was their emblem. I think (and this is an educated guess)they opened the Animal Kingdom with the tree, so they had that, they had the Epcot giant golf ball/sphere thingy and of course the Castle at MK. So if recall correctly the more recognizable thing was that water tower you photograph. I think that was the MGM emblem.

So in my opinion they needed an iconic item to put MGM/Hollywood Studios on the recognizable items list. (You know some iconic item you just saw and it will pop that place into your mind.) There for you see that Magic hat place in the middle of nowhere related to that. If you don't like it i think is cause it was a sort of a thrown in. That's in my opinion.

Did you really have no idea of anything Star Wars? Shame on you Samuele. Shame on you...

  2. I know, I'm sorry, but I don't know anything about SW!!

And I also agree with you, the Hat is also misplaced!! they should put it next to Fantasmic!, so it would 'agree' with the overall theme of the area...

  5. Actually they've been passing the 6 episodes the last couple of days on Spike. I've been watching them 1 or 2 every day. I t was a Stars Wars something at Spike Tv (Channel. They do that. They're really interesting if you don't like them at least you'll be entertained. But i know a Theme Park goer like yourself Samuele)would love them. (But have in mind there about 2 or 3 hours.)

At Bigfoots: How did Star Wars changed your life? I'm interested in knowing. Are you know a Jedi? Lol. Nooo! But really how?

  6. Thanks for the advice, Francisco!
So you say that since I am a theme parks lover, I will love those films too? I don't know, they seem violent, I like adventurous films, not war-related ones... What do you think?

    Thanks again for the comment!

  7. Well. I didn't think of it that way. You're right they're violent. There's a lot of violence it's just that there's so much creativeness. More than a lot other movies, that i can recall. I might be forgetting some movies here, but still. There are spaceships, planets, creatures, buildings, languages, technologies, beliefs, landscapes heroes, villains (i think the most feared villain in the galaxy, you know the one you called ''The black death I guess'' - Darth Vader).

I may be over simplifying this, but since you asked. I have this theory than in normal circumstances you could put people that like to go out, into 2 categories.

Here's a sample of my theory:
1st kind of people are people that like to go out, but rarely do it with out drinking alcohol (or any other substances). Right. These people like to go to parties, cruises, the beach and camp but (here's the secret) with alcohol. Without it they don't enjoy themselves as much. The ones who like movies with no plot and lots of explosions. These people wouldn't be caught death in Disney. Because think is only for kids. If you tried to explain other wise they laugh in your face.
2nd kind is the people who are well, more childish, who like to go eat out a lot (alcohol not necessary, if consumed well, but not a requisite) they go too the movies a lot they don't mind enjoining the things that other people think are intended for kids. A la Disney, including the animated movies like Shrek or Madagascar which are supposed to be for kids but in my opinion the good jokes a kid wouldn't understand. They could actually watch something in the Discovery or History channel and enjoy it.

I know this is a simplification ,but i think most people (that like to go out) can be explain in general in this 2 types. There are people who do a little of both but i think it fits people in general. (My former acquaintances if they went out lets say to the movies or to a basketball game they would be itching for it to be over, so they could go have drinks after in their systems. The night or day wasn't complete if they didn't. You know the type who would ask you where are the drinks at Magic Kingdom and if you told them, no where, they would said something like this place sucks.

Anyhow, since i figured you (as i think most people here are, including me) to be the 2nd kind. Cause in reality most of the things you really enjoy at the parks i don't find that thrilling. Like Soaring, or Pirates. So in that sense I'm a little more the 1st kind. (But just a little.) Cause i enjoy roller coaster's more, but i would get on the rides that i don't love, cause i enjoy them still. If you think about it it makes perfect sense cause you haven't seen them cause you think of it as too violent. As something, my 1st kind would enjoy, but not you. I thought you would enjoy these Saga cause of it's creativeness. But, yes there's a lot of violence. I just think the inventiveness of it, is just great. Cause it follows a couple of people through so many different places and times. If you have to convince yourself, think of it as research. Cause if you don't know Star Wars i think your missing a part of the fictional puzzle. It's not that is a law or anything, is just that i figured you as the kind of guy who appreciates stories and characters. So if you don't know who Yoda or Darth Vader are, well in my own estimation, your missing something here. But see it, at your own risk, and if you don't like them don't blame me. (Blame Bigfoots! Haha! Lol.) I'm kidding of course...

  8. And Samuele if you do decide to see them you need to know that there are 6 movies called episodes. There also an animated series called The Clone Wars. Which depicts a story which is not told in the movies between Episode 2 and 3. (Like the animated movies of The Matrix.)

You also need to know that George Lucas did them in two trilogies. In these case the last trilogy was introduced first. Starting with #4 trough #6. Then #1 trough #3. Here's the breakdown:

    1- Star Wars: Episode IV - A New Hope(1977)
2- Star Wars: Episode V - The Empire Strikes Back (1980)
3- Star Wars: Episode VI - Return of the Jedi (1983)

Then after a lot of years and a lot of technological improvement came:

4- Star Wars: Episode I - The Phantom Menace (1999)
5- Star Wars: Episode II - Attack of the Clones (2002)
6- Star Wars: Episode III - Revenge of the Sith (2005)

So you could elect to see them in order, so that everything makes sense, or as a lot of people saw them, by released date.
